China's Ambassador to Ghana has said the country's governance model offers important lessons for developing nations seeking sustainable economic growth, improved governance, and long-term national development.

Speaking during an inter-party roundtable and media briefing in Accra, the ambassador highlighted China's remarkable economic transformation over the past several decades, attributing much of the country's progress to strategic planning, strong leadership, and policies focused on improving the lives of citizens.

According to the ambassador, one of the key strengths of China's development approach is its commitment to long-term planning. Rather than focusing solely on short-term political or economic objectives, the country has consistently implemented long-range development strategies designed to promote steady growth and national modernization.

He explained that these plans have enabled China to make significant progress in areas such as industrialization, infrastructure development, technological advancement, and poverty reduction.

The ambassador also pointed to the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) as a major factor behind the country's development achievements. He said disciplined leadership and consistent implementation of national policies have helped maintain stability while driving economic and social progress.

Another feature of China's governance model, he noted, is its emphasis on people-centred development. He emphasized that every country has unique historical, political, and economic circumstances and should therefore determine its own path toward modernization and sustainable development.
